There are indeed health benefits to be gained from light-to-moderate beer drinking. But there is no justification to drink in excess especially this Christmas Season.

Beers especially darker brews are rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants prevent the oxidation of “bad” cholesterol and “very bad” cholesterol. It reduces your risk of developing cataracts by half if you will consume one alcoholic beverage daily.

There is no problem if you are traveling in the Middle East, where most countries prohibit the sale and consumption of alcohol and the celebration of Christmas as well. I’ve learned that there is this malt granules and by adding water become foaming and non-alcoholic beer. This is known as the non-alcoholic halal-beer.

This malt granules are not being marketed to Middle East nations only, but also to Iraq and Indonesia as well. There is a possibility that Arab countries will build a brewery of Halal Beer. But I assume that there will be a religious and political obstacle on this. As for the mean time importation of this non-alcoholic beer is the best option. Being non-alcoholic beer, it is not subject to heavy tariffs. If you are a traveler especially in these Middle East nations, when ordering your meal accompany it with a beer! hahaha

Beer drinkers, regardless of your location this Christmas Season, Cheers! And Rejoice!. Remember… moderation is still the keyword. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
